We've Arrived Home

After over 30 hours of travel we arrived home safe and sound. It was an incredible week that has stretch us and tested our faith beyond anything we could have imagined. We remain confidant in the knowledge that we have had an experience that is only a small part of a huge picture that we may never understand. Yes, we are hurting and praying for Galina and Tanya. We know that our lives will continue and be blessed but as we turn these two children over to our God we wonder what their lives will be like in the future. Mark has prayed this entire journey that if this journey that we were on wasn't going to bless our family then he wanted God to stop it. It has been stoppped with both of us knowing that it was God's plan. Our oldest son Gabe told me he thinks that maybe God allowed us to go and spend time with the girls so that I would be allowed closure. I know in my heart that it was necessary for me to see Galina and hear her declare that she didn't want to be a part of our family for me to believe the truth. We have been so blessed by so many of you who have walked with us and at times held us up. We have established life long friendships through our adoption journey. We had the opportunity to meet and hold our Kazakhstan granddaughter, Simbat, and spend time with her mother Madina between our flights home. It's time to put this journey behind us and move forward and hold fast to the knowledge that we have gained.

I think Gabe is right. Have faith and know that there are many of us that are here for you. I hope that with time your pain heals, and I pray that you will find peace in this process.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs

I am so glad you arrived home safely; I have been praying for you. I know you are grieving over all of this but I also know God is faithful and will heal your pain. I also think Gabe is right; you now no longer have to wonder ~ you now know this chapter is closed. I also continue to pray for the girls. Know that we love you and will continue to pray for you all. We have followed your journey through our son, Mike and daughter-in-law, Vonda. You have been there to help them through what they are facing right now. I believe God has brought you all together for a reason and you will forever have a
bond. Our thoughts and prayers go with you right now as you are trying to get an answer for what has happened. You are still healing from a great disappointment. Our prayer is that you will feel God's presence and that you will feel added strength right now. "What you can't control, you must commit," is something my preacher dad use to tell me often. It seems like I am using that phrase often but it helps. God knows the reasons "why" and will give you the added strength to pull you through. Know we care and will keep you in our prayers. Thank you for all the help you gave our family. The next few days will be hard ones for Mike and Vonda. Luke is a dear and our prayer is that he will understand whatever decision they make. Love to you as you are healing from this disappointment.

So sorry your journey is over, but glad you're back home safe and sound. Hopefully you're feeling in your mind like you have some closure and can move forward with your lives in peace.
